Hi, I'm Jennifer

Jennifer Richardson is the founder and president of Richardson Media, a strategic communications and video storytelling firm serving public agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations across Oregon.

With more than 20 years of professional media experience, Jennifer brings a journalism-driven perspective to every engagement. She understands how stories are framed, how public perception evolves, and how leaders must communicate clearly in high-visibility moments.

Over the past decade, she has advised executive leaders, school superintendents, nonprofit directors, and public officials through complex communications challenges, including crisis response, public funding conversations, enrollment initiatives, and increased media scrutiny.

Her approach is grounded in preparation, discipline, and clarity, equipping clients to communicate with confidence when it matters most.
Jennifer also serves as an instructor at the University of Oregon, mentoring the next generation of communications professionals and staying closely connected to the evolving media landscape.

Her commitment to community extends beyond her professional work. Jennifer is actively involved in local schools, nonprofit initiatives, and community events, and she and her family are proud to support and participate in the organizations they serve. This personal investment in the region informs her belief that communications is not just about messaging. It is about strengthening the communities we call home.

Under her leadership, Richardson Media has produced award-winning films and secured meaningful earned media placements that expand visibility, strengthen credibility, and deliver measurable impact.

On this episode of Drunken Spirits, host Val Steele sits down with guest Jennifer to explore the fascinating and often controversial world of paranormal investigations. Can concrete evidence from the other side actually change a skeptic's mind? Or does belief require something more than just proof?

Jennifer tackled the big questions and shared evidence that will give you chills. Haunted places, haunted objects and recordings you have to see & hear for yourself.

Jennifer is so honored to be a part of Shall We Dance 2025.

"The Angel Hair Foundation is a beautiful organization supporting kids in Oregon who have suffered hair loss due to a medical illness (cancer or alopecia). I am teamed up with a special young woman.

When I was asked to dance, I was nervous, but then I met my fellow dancers, and we’ve been getting to work or at least laughing our way through it. A huge thanks to our professional dancers, who will kick us into shape over the next couple of months.

Tickets go on sale on December 1st., but if you want a table or sponsorship, let me know! I know everything will sell out pretty fast, and we would all love the support.

Thank you to Steve Smith Photography for the amazing photos and to Jay with Squiddl for this video.

Let's rock out together."

I am honored to be featured on the WORKing Together Podcast hosted by Lane Workforce Partnership Executive Director Ashley Espinoza.

In the episode, we discuss storytelling and media engagement in promoting workforce development initiatives. As a former journalist turned media company owner, I shared my experiences collaborating with workforce boards and educational institutions to highlight programs like Team Oregon Build and Nurturely.

The conversation covers the challenges and benefits of marketing publicly funded programs, visual storytelling, and strategies for organizations to share their stories with the community.
